Job summary

Silver Birch Living in Fort Wayne is seeking a Cook to join our Culinary Team. You’ll prepare tasty, nutritious meals that help residents feel cared for, comfortable, and happy.

In this role you’ll follow menus, ensure proper portion sizes, monitor temperatures for safety, and keep the kitchen clean and organized.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Basic food safety knowledge.
• Strong customer service skills and a positive attitude.
• Food service experience is helpful; ServSafe certification is a plus.

• Prepare and serve meals from the menu in a timely manner.
• Ensure proper portion sizes and attractive meal presentation.
• Check food temperatures and quality to meet safety standards.
• Keep the kitchen, equipment, and work areas clean and safe.
• Assist with food deliveries and proper storage.
• Follow all food safety and sanitation guidelines; be friendly and helpful to residents and coworkers.
