Swissport is hiring a Cargo Agent at JFK (Building 9) to organize warehouse and cargo handling, ensuring safety and SOP compliance while meeting delivery timelines. The role features a pay rate of $21.25 per hour with full-time benefits.

As a Cargo Agent, you will load and unload cargo, prepare goods, verify paperwork, and operate related equipment. You will work flexible hours and be part of a driven team committed to quality and customer service.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma.
• Valid driver's license.
• Strong oral and written communication skills.
• Must be able to work flexible working hours.
• Ability to work under pressure.
• Customer focus and quality awareness.
• Must be able to work in inclement weather.

Responsibilities

• Load/unload air cargo from/to trucks.
• Prepare and palletize cargo as needed.
• Ensure paperwork related to cargo is correct.
• Ensure proper handling and delivery of cargo and operation of related equipment.
• Follow Dangerous Goods Requirements and Regulations.
• Comply with Swissport SOPs and Policies.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Job Summary

Cargo Agent organizes warehouse and storage facilities; arranges warehouse handling equipment and loads/unloads air cargo, while maintaining the required safety and quality standards as well as comply with Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) and company policies.

The expected pay rate is $21.25/hr.

Your activities

• Load/unload air cargo from/to trucks
