Job summary

Logistec in Brownsville, TX seeks an aware Ship/Terminal Checker to record cargo movements and coordinate loading and discharging activities. You will work outdoors, collaborate with team members, and ensure accurate tallying of cargo locations and dimensions.

Requirements include 1 year of customer service, bilingual English fluency with Spanish a plus, a valid driver’s license, TWIC, and a readiness to travel as needed. Outdoor work with safe, efficient cargo handling is essential.

Qualifications

• 1 year of experience in customer service.
• Excellent written & communication in English (Spanish is a plus)
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Must have Driver’s License
• Must have a TWIC (Transportation Worker identification Credential)
• Dependable mode of transportation to and from work
• The ability and willingness to work in a team environment
• Must be willing to travel, as needed.

Responsibilities

• Count, inspect, sort, identify & record storage location of all cargo dischargin (or coming off a vessel)
• Count, insect, sort, identify & record stow location of all cargo stowed (or being loaded onto a vessel)
• Load / unload trucks
• Mark & take dimension of cargo
• Keep written tallies and record
• Maintain records with the use of electronic equipment (tablets & scanners.
