Job summary

Right at Home Central Texas is hiring caregivers to assist clients in their homes across Texas. The role offers flexible scheduling, opportunities for advancement, and a welcoming, supportive team culture.

You’ll help with light housekeeping, meal prep, and companionship, while ensuring client safety and comfort with timely medication reminders and communication with families and supervisors.

Qualifications

• Must be able to read, write, speak and understand English as needed for the job.
• Must possess a valid driver’s license and current automobile insurance.
• Must be 18 years of age.

Responsibilities

• Assist clients with everyday activities including light housekeeping, laundry, and meal preparation.
• Provide companionship through activities such as reading, music and puzzles.
• Offer medication reminders and monitor client well-being.
• Communicate effectively with clients, family members and supervisors to ensure quality care.

• You don’t mind getting a little dirty…this could include (but not limited to) light housekeeping, laundry and other household chores.
• You don’t have to be a gourmet chef but you can prepare a good meal and work your way around a kitchen.
• You are able to assist the client in many ways, this could include (but are not limited to), medication reminders, and companionship activities such as reading, music, puzzles, etc.

Must Haves:

• Must be 18 years of age
• Must be able to read, write, speak and understand English as needed for the job
• Must be able to successfully complete a written Competency Evaluation
• Must possess a valid driver’s license and current automobile insurance
• You must have a high school diploma or GED
• Must have the ability to pass a full employment background check

Nice to Have’s:

• CNA or HHA license is preferred
• 6 months of experience as a Personal Care Assistant in healthcare preferred
• 1-3 years of experience as a Caregiver/Home Health Aide in healthcare (in homes or facilities)
