Job summary

A Place At Home, LLC in Norwalk, CT is seeking a compassionate Caregiver to support seniors on weekend shifts. You will help clients stay safe, comfortable, and independent at home by assisting with daily living activities and providing companionship.

Responsibilities include personal care, meal preparation, light housekeeping, mobility support, and reporting changes to the supervisor. CNA certification is preferred, with required credentials renewed as needed.

Qualifications

• Must hold CNA or similar credential; preferred.
• Maintain current credentials: First Aid, TB test, in-services.
• Background check and drug screening required.
• Physically able to perform caregiving duties.
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.

About the Role

We are seeking compassionate and dependable Caregivers to join our team and support seniors over the weekend. In this role, you will help clients remain safe, comfortable, and independent in their homes by assisting with daily living activities and providing companionship.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist clients with personal care needs such as bathing, grooming, and dressing

• Provide companionship and emotional support

• Prepare meals and assist with light housekeeping

• Support mobility and safe transfers

• Run errands or assist with grocery shopping as needed

• Follow individualized care plans and report any changes in client condition to the supervisor

Skills & Qualifications

• Independence, flexibility, and good judgment

• Strong verbal and written communication skills

• Knowledge of physiology and general nutrition for meal planning

• Ability to build and maintain strong client relationships
