Community Living Connections (CLC) – Madison, WI

Community Living Connections (CLC) is hiring Caregivers to support adults with developmental disabilities in their homes and the community. This role is also known as a Direct Support Professional (DSP) or Supported Living Staff (SLS).

This is a great opportunity for people interested in human services, caregiving, psychology, social work, education, or healthcare careers, but no experience is required. We provide paid training and ongoing support to help you succeed.

Many of our caregivers come from backgrounds such as customer service, retail, hospitality, childcare, food service, or teaching assistants.

Paid Time Off

What You’ll Do

• Support individuals with daily living activities such as cooking, cleaning, and organization
• Help individuals participate in community activities and hobbies

• Assist with transportation, errands, and budgeting
• Follow support plans and document progress
• Work with managers and care teams to provide high-quality support

Basic Requirements

• Must be at least 18 years old
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Valid Wisconsin driver’s license
• Reliable vehicle with insurance
• Ability to pass a background check
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and assist individuals when needed

Background Screening

A criminal background check is required. Prior to the background check being conducted, the applicant will be required to complete disclosure and authorization forms authorizing the Company to conduct specific background checks. This authorization will be made in either electronic or written form and will remain valid throughout the employee’s employment with the Company if hired, as allowed by applicable law.

Background checks will be kept confidential and will only be shared with individuals who have a business need to review the information to make employment decisions. Reports will be retained in accordance with the Company’s document retention procedures and federal and state regulations.
