Damar Services, LLC is seeking a Caregiver Training Coordinator to deliver caregiver training for families across our ABA locations in Indiana, including Avon, Ameriplex, and Fall Creek clinics. Qualifications

  • Master’s degree required.
  • BCBA certification required.
  • RBT Supervisor 8-hour training required.
  • 2–4 years of professional training/mentoring experience preferred.
  • Minimum 1 year experience with individuals with developmental disabilities.
  • Ability to obtain CMT Trainer and First Aid/CPR Trainer certifications.
  • Must be 18+ and have valid Indiana driver’s license.
  • Background checks and pre-employment drug screen may be required.

Responsibilities

  • Designs and implements a caregiver training curriculum to ensure foundational ABA knowledge.
  • Provides client/family specific caregiver training.
  • Conducts group training sessions via telehealth and in person.
  • Performs in-home caregiver training to improve family quality of life.
  • Notifies relevant parties of appointment changes and ensures timely billing and documentation.
  • Demonstrates ability to build trust with families and maintain professional relationships.
  • Travel between Damar ABA locations as needed.

Join us in empowering individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities or autism. We are currently seeking Caregiver Training Coordinators to join our team at our Ameriplex, Avon, and Fall Creek clinics. The Caregiver Training Coordinator is responsible for providing direct training to families or caregivers. The Caregiver Training Coordinator will be responsible for implementing caregiver training for active client families and waitlist client families and must use measurement system to determine its effectiveness. He/she may commute between all Damar ABA locations.

  • Demonstrates understanding of Behavior Skills Training and utilizes its principals regularly
  • Utilizes data collection in relation to driving and tracking outcomes and achieving Damar ABA initiatives and goals
  • Completes billing notes accurately and timely
  • Respects the culture, diversity and rights of all clients, their families, and the community
  • Demonstrates understanding of the challenges families face when parenting a child with a disability therefore treats caregivers with respect and understanding
What you need to be considered:
  • Master’s degree required
  • Must have BCBA certification
  • RBT Supervisor 8-hour Supervision Training
  • 2-4 years of professional experience in training, education, or mentoring preferred
  • Minimum of 1 year of experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities
  • Familiarity with providing training to individuals across a wide range of educational backgrounds
  • Must have or be able to obtain Critical Moment Training (CMT) Trainer Certification
  • Must have or be able to obtain 1st Aid/CPR Trainer Certification
  • Minimum age of 18 per licensure requirements
  • Valid Indiana driver’s license and driving record that meets eligibility requirements of Damar’s insurance carrier (for all positions requiring driving)
  • Be clear of any felony convictions, substantiated charges of neglect or other disqualifying criminal convictions
  • Successfully complete a pre-employment drug screen and physical
  • Favorably meet and maintain Damar’s background screening
Essential Job Functions

The essential functions of this position require the physical ability and mobility needed to perform the job. This includes the ability to stand or sit for prolonged periods; occasionally stoop, bend, kneel, crouch, reach, and twist; lift, carry, push, and/or pull up to 50 lbs.; operate office equipment, including a computer keyboard; travel to other locations using private or commercial transportation; and communicate effectively to exchange information.

The position also requires the ability to recognize and respond appropriately to client behaviors, staff instructions, safety concerns, and emergencies in an environment where individuals may display aggressive, self-injurious, sexually maladaptive, elopement, or other unpredictable behaviors.

Regular and acceptable attendance, excluding approved absences and periods of leave, is also an essential function of the position.
