Job summary

The Iowa Veterans Home is offering an on-site, 76-hour CNA training program designed to certify new CNAs. The program includes lab and clinical sections, with a two-part interview process and an unpaid job shadow to determine eligibility. Selected candidates will begin a full-time role upon completion.

Starting pay is $19.43 per hour. Full-time Iowa Veterans Home employees receive benefits including PTO, nine paid holidays, health and dental insurance, IPERS retirement, and a 401(a) plan.

Qualifications

• No specific education or experience required.
• Must obtain Commercial Driver's License or Chauffeurs License and endorsements within time of hire.

Responsibilities

• Duties within the CNA role include performing basic personal care of residents following a care plan.
