Job summary

Senior Helpers - Laurel is seeking a compassionate, Spanish-speaking caregiver to assist clients with daily living activities and provide companionship in their own homes in Maryland. The role requires clear Spanish communication, respect for privacy and cultural values, and reliable, patient care.

You will help with bathing, meals, medication reminders, mobility support, and monitoring health, while documenting care and coordinating with family and healthcare professionals as needed.

Qualifications

• Proven caregiver experience preferred.
• Fluency in Spanish required for client interaction.

• Physically capable of assisting mobility.
• Ability to follow care plans and instructions.

Responsibilities

• Provide assistance with daily living activities, including bathing, dressing, grooming, and personal hygiene.
• Prepare meals and assist with feeding when necessary.
• Administer medication reminders in accordance with the care plan and applicable regulations.
• Communicate with clients in Spanish to understand their needs, preferences, and concerns.
• Provide companionship and emotional support to promote the client's well-being.
• Assist with mobility, walking, transfers, and other physical activities as needed.
• Maintain a clean, safe living environment.
• Monitor the client's condition and promptly report changes in health or behavior to the appropriate family member or healthcare professional.
• Accompany clients to medical appointments, errands, or recreational activities when required.
• Maintain accurate records of daily activities, care provided, and any concerns.
