Ovation is seeking a dedicated caregiver to support residents in daily living activities, with emphasis on safety and well-being. You will provide physical and emotional support, assist with meals, and help maintain a comfortable environment.

The role requires 18+ years old, friendly demeanor, and the ability to obtain CPR/First Aid certification and a Food Handler’s Card. Previous memory care or assisted living experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• Experience as a caregiver in a memory care unit or assisted living facility.
• Ability to obtain CPR/First Aid certification during employment.
• Ability to obtain a Food Handler’s Card.
• Experience documenting in electronic medical records.

Responsabilités

• Assist with activities of daily living (ADLs) including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting.
• Provide mobility support and help with transfers and use of mobility aids.

Job Summary

The caregiver’s duties encompass a wide range of tasks, including assisting with activities of daily living, emotional support, housekeeping, and ensuring the resident’s safety and well-being.

Essential Duties and Job Responsibilities

Assisting with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs):

• Personal Hygiene:Helping with bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting.
• Mobility Assistance:Supporting residents with walking, transferring, and using mobility aids.
• Meal Preparation:Assisting with setting up meals, cutting up food if needed, and removing trays from rooms.
• Emotional Support and Companionship:
• Providing Emotional Support:Offering empathy, listening to residents, and providing encouragement.
• Companionship:Engaging in conversations, activities, and social interactions to combat loneliness and isolation.

Housekeeping

• Maintaining a clean and safe environment, including laundry, cleaning, and tidying up.

Health Monitoring and Medical Advocacy

• Observing residents for changes in health, reporting concerns to medical professionals, and monitoring vital signs.

Other:

• Answer resident calls for assistance timely.
• Maintain a clean, comfortable, and safe work environment for residents, staff, and visitors.
• Maintain a safe work environment. Report safety concerns in the resident apartments to the supervisor.
• Assists with the orientation of new residents and staff when assigned.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the manager or supervisor.

Requirements and Qualifications

• Prefer experience as a Caregiver in a Memory Care Unit and or Assisted Living Facility.
• Must have the ability to obtain and maintain active CPR/First Aid Certification during employment.
• Must have the ability to obtain a Food Handler’s Card.Experience in electronic medical records documentation.
• Must be 18 years or older.
• Friendly, attentive, and professional demeanor with residents and guests.
