Job summary

BrightStar Care Zerrot, Inc. in Henderson, NV is seeking an experienced caregiver for an ongoing companionship and dementia care assignment with a male client.

Requirements include at least two years of caregiving, dementia care, ability to lift up to 100 pounds, valid driver’s license and vehicle, CPR/First Aid, TB test, and availability Friday to Sunday, 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. Pay is $16–$17 per hour, paid weekly, with mileage reimbursement.

Qualifications

• Minimum of two years of caregiving experience, including dementia care.
• Ability to lift, push, and pull up to 100 pounds with proper technique and equipment.
• Valid driver’s license, auto insurance, and a reliable vehicle for client transportation.
• Comfortable working in a home with two dogs.
• CPR and First Aid certifications.
• Negative TB test (two-step) within require date.
• Consistent availability for all three days: Friday, Saturday, and Sunday, 8 a.m.–8 p.m.

Responsibilities

• Build connection through conversation, music, sports, and shared activities.
• Drive and accompany the client on daily outings, including barbershop visits.
• Assist with bathing, dressing, hygiene, and toileting while protecting privacy and dignity.
• Provide dementia care with calm reassurance and wandering redirection.
• Assist with safe transfers and repositioning per the care plan.
• Provide light housekeeping, meal preparation, and pet care.
• Report changes or concerns promptly to the office.

BrightStar Care is hiring an experienced, personable caregiver for an ongoing assignment with a male client who is looking for a buddy he can connect with—someone who enjoys conversation, sharing interests, and spending time together while providing dependable care.

He enjoys Motown music, sports, and getting out into the community several times daily, including barbershop appointments. Along with companionship, he needs assistance with bathing, toileting, hygiene, and other personal needs. He is very private about personal care and values discreet, respectful assistance.

Pay: $16–$17 per hour, paid weekly, plus mileage reimbursement for client transportation

Schedule: Friday, Saturday, and Sunday, 8 a.m.–8 p.m.

Location: Henderson, NV 89014

Key Responsibilities

• Ability to lift, push, and pull up to 100 pounds, with or without reasonable accommodation, using appropriate equipment and assistance according to the care plan.
• Current driver’s license, auto insurance, and a reliable vehicle suitable for client transportation.
• Willing and able to participate in multiple daily outings.
• Comfortable working in a home with two dogs.
• Valid physical and a negative two-step TB test.
• Current CPR and First Aid certifications.
• Consistent availability for all three days: Friday, Saturday, and Sunday, 8 a.m.–8 p.m.
