Job summary

Professional Case Management is hiring Personal Care Attendants (PCAs) in Missouri to provide in-home care for veterans and families. You can set your own schedule, enabling you to balance school, travel, volunteering, and family time.

Responsibilities include following the nurse's care plan, assisting with personal care, light housekeeping, and errands, while maintaining confidentiality and client dignity. Training is available as needed.

Qualifications

• Must be able to communicate clearly with patients and families.
• Ability to maintain safety and privacy for clients.
• Ability to document care accurately and timely.
• Commitment to following agency policies and procedures.

Responsibilities

• Follow the plan of care set by the supervising RN to support independence and dignity.

• Report changes in client condition promptly to the RN.

Qualifications

• Have the emotional and cognitive maturity to maintain a good working relationship with clients, families, and agency personnel.
• Free from health problems that may be injurious to client, self, or coworkers, and present required documentation.
• Must have a 2‑step TB skin test and submit proof to Human Resources.
• Possess reliable transportation.

Preferred Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED.
• Neat, clean personal appearance.
• Licensed driver with automobile insurance in accordance with state or agency requirements, and vehicle in good repair.

Essential Functions

• Follow the plan of care prepared by the supervising Registered Nurse to meet clients’ needs, encouraging independence while maintaining confidentiality and dignity.
• Assist clients with non‑skilled personal care, including bathing, skin care, hair care, nail care, mouth care, shaving, dressing, feeding, ambulation, exercise, transfers, positioning, medication reminders, respiratory care, homemaking, and respite care.
• Perform routine housekeeping tasks, including light housekeeping, meal preparation, dishwashing, bed making, laundry, attending medical appointments, and shopping.
• Follow emergency procedures and report incidents or significant changes in client condition to the RN promptly and safely.

Compensation

Standard rate: $15.00 – $17.50 per hour.
