Job summary

Arden Courts Northbrook is seeking a PRN Caregiver to assist residents with daily living activities, including personal care, meals, and hygiene.

You will support housekeeping, laundry, and social activities as part of the Health & Wellness Team to ensure top-quality resident care.

Qualifications

• Education: High School diploma or equivalent.
• Skills: Basic reading and writing, and ability to speak English clearly.
• Years of experience: Knowledge and experience in working with elderly & dementia experience preferred.
• Certification: Certification required according to state regulations.

Responsibilities

• Assist residents with daily living activities including personal care, meals, hygiene.
• Support housekeeping, laundry, and social activities.
• Monitor residents' health and behaviors and report to Health & Wellness Team.
• Operate equipment and read thermometers, charts and testing equipment as needed.

Skills

As a Caregiver you assist residents in all aspects of their daily life. This includes personal care, food service, housekeeping, laundry, behavior management, socialization, activities, orientation and information needs. As a member of the Health & Wellness Team, you ensure industry-leading resident care.

Requirements

Education: High School diploma or equivalent
Skills: Basic reading and writing skills, and ability to speak English in an understandable manner
Years of Experience: Knowledge and experience in working with elderly & previous dementia experience preferred
Certification: Certification required according to state regulations

Physical Demands: Ability to stand, walk, bend, and squat for prolonged periods; Ability to push and pull objects and lift and carry up to 50 pounds, unassisted, on a frequent basis; Full use of hands, arms, and legs (for washing, bathing, dressing, writing, cleaning); Ability to read thermometers, charts and testing equipment and ability to operate clothes washers and dryers and kitchen appliances
