Job summary

Arden Courts of Parma in Parma, OH is seeking a Caregiver to assist residents with daily living, including personal care, meals, and activities.

As part of the Health & Wellness Team, you will support housekeeping, laundry, orientation, and information needs, with an emphasis on dignity and safety.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• Basic reading/writing and English speaking abilities required.
• Knowledge and experience with elderly and dementia preferred.
• Certification required according to state regulations.

Responsibilities

• Assist residents with daily living activities including personal care, meals, and hygiene.
• Support housekeeping, laundry, and activity engagement to promote well-being.
• Assist with orientation and information needs and behavior management as part of care.
• Maintain accurate observations and communicate resident needs to the Health & Wellness Team.

Requirements

• Education: High School diploma or equivalent
• Skills: Basic reading and writing skills, and ability to speak English in an understandable manner
• Years of Experience: Knowledge and experience in working with elderly & previous dementia experience preferred
• Certification: Certification required according to state regulations

Physical Demands

Ability to stand, walk, bend, and squat for prolonged periods; Ability to push and pull objects and lift and carry up to 50 pounds, unassisted, on a frequent basis; Full use of hands, arms, and legs (for washing, bathing, dressing, writing, cleaning); Ability to read thermometers, charts and testing equipment and ability to operate clothes washers and dryers and kitchen appliances
