Job summary

McLeod Home Care is seeking experienced Care Professionals to provide compassionate, in-home non-medical support in South Carolina and Georgia. Each client has a customized care plan including personal care, light housekeeping, and meal prep.

You will work in various shifts to fit schedules. Applicants must be 18+, have a HS diploma or GED, any required state certification, pass a drug test and background check, and have 1–2+ years of related care experience.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years or older.
• High school diploma or GED.
• Any state-mandated certification.
• Must pass a drug test and background check.
• Minimum of 1–2+ year(s) adult personal care experience.
• Minimum of 1+ year(s) experience supporting individuals with disabilities or challenging behaviors.

Responsibilities

• Personal care assistance such as dressing, bathing, and grooming.
• Light housekeeping, meal and snack preparation.
• Transportation and errand services.
• Monitoring client conditions and updating care notes.
• Dementia and Alzheimer's care, companionship.
• Home safety inspections.

Location

We proudly provide care in the states of South Carolina and Georgia in the following counties: Columbia, Aiken, Barnwell, Calhoun, Edgefield, Fairfield, Kershaw, Lexington, Newberry, Orangeburg, Richland, Saluda, South Carolina Counties and Richmond, Burke, Columbia and Lincoln, in Georgia Counties.

Pay

• Starting pay rate: $15.25 per hour
• After working more than 16 hours per week for 4 consecutive weeks, your pay rate will increase by $1 per hour

Shifts

Now hiring for full-time and part-time positions. We have a variety of 4 to 12 hour shifts Monday through Sunday. We have day, night, and overnight shifts available. We offer flexible scheduling which allows us to work together on building a schedule that fits yours needs!

Caregiver Responsibilities

Each client has a custom care plan. Caregiver responsibilities will vary based on assignments. Caregiver tasks may include but are not limited to:

Requirements

• Must be 18 years or older
• High school diploma or GED
• Any state-mandated certification
• Must pass a drug test and background check
• Minimum of 1 to 2+ year(s) adult personal care assistance experience
• Minimum of 1+ year(s) professional or personal experience supporting individuals with disabilities, mental illnesses, or challenging behaviors.
• Must have a valid South Carolina driver's license, provide current registration and insurance, and have a clean driving record if transporting clients
