Job summary

Qualicare KC is seeking compassionate Caregivers (Care Assistants) to support seniors in Harrisonville and surrounding areas. Responsibilities include companionship, light housekeeping, personal care, meal prep, and safe mobility within the home.

We offer flexible schedules, paid training, daily pay options, mileage reimbursement, and opportunities for advancement. A valid driver's license and being at least 18 are required; CNA/HHA/PCA certs are welcome but not required.

Qualifications

• Must have valid Driver's License.
• At least 18 years old.
• Experience caring for family members or in similar roles is a plus.
• Certifications like CNA, HHA, or PCA are welcome but not required.

Responsibilities

• Provide companionship, light housekeeping and personal care in the senior's home.

Day in the life of our Caregivers...

• Our Companion Care Assistants arrive and they might do a safety check, help prepare meals, or pick out clothes for the day. You are a friend who plays games, runs errands, does housekeeping, helps maintain the household where necessary, and genuinely tries to make someone smile.
• Our Personal Care Assistants are going the next step and helping our seniors bathe, get dressed, and brush their teeth. They help them stay safe with medication reminders and general mobility around the house. Some of our Personal Care Assistants have certifications like CNA, HHA, or PCA, but they are not required.
• Our Advocacy/Care Assistants are going to be a combination of the above as well as have the confidence to transport and accompany our client to a doctor's appointments, advocating by being their voice when necessary. Ensuring that you're actively listening, making notes so that care and information can be relayed to family.

If you have experience caring for a family member or have been a full-time parent or homemaker, you can be a great Caregiver. If you worked in an assisted living facility, Skilled Nursing, Senior Home, or Senior Center as a Caretaker, you are just who we need. If you have been a teacher, child care worker, or you're retired and want to give back, We want to talk to you if you have certifications like Certified Nursing Assistant, Home Health Aid, and Personal Care Aid. (but not required)
