Job summary

Preferred Care at Home of Miami Beach is seeking a Home Health Aide (HHA) with at least 2 years of experience caring for elderly clients with dementia. The candidate must have their own car and be able to drive clients to appointments.

As a Home Health Aide, you will support daily living activities, monitor vital signs, assist with grooming, and help with light housekeeping, enabling clients to live independently at home.

Qualifications

• Previous experience as a home health aide is required.
• Fluent English communication is essential.
• Access to reliable transportation and a valid driver's license.
• CPR certification is preferred/site requirement.
• Ability to pass a criminal background check and provide references.

Responsibilities

• Help clients with personal hygiene, dressing, bathing and other daily tasks
• Perform basic health care services for clients including checking vital signs or administering prescription medication
• Help with general light housekeeping, including cooking meals
• Make transportation arrangements or provide transportation for clients as needed
• Collect information about conditions and treatment plans from caregivers, nurses, doctors and family members
• Observe and report on each client’s condition
• Stay up-to-date with home health aide training, policies and procedures
