Avamere Living is seeking a Caregiver/Med Tech for PRN shifts at Avamere at Seaside, OR. The role covers ADLs, companionship, and safety support for residents in a memory care/assisted living setting.

Total focus on compassionate care, daily living assistance, and health monitoring with a supportive team. Weekend availability is required, and the position offers opportunities to grow with a dedicated senior living community.

Formación

• Experience as a Caregiver in memory care or assisted living preferred.
• Ability to obtain/maintain CPR/First Aid certification during employment.
• Must obtain Food Handler's Card.
• Experience using electronic medical records documentation.
• Must be 18 years or older.
• Friendly, attentive, professional demeanor with residents.

Responsabilidades

• Assist with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) including bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting.
• Support mobility and safe transfers; assist with meals and tray removal.
• Provide emotional support and companionship to residents.
• Maintain housekeeping, laundry, and a clean living environment.
• Monitor health changes and report concerns to staff; advocate for residents.
• Respond promptly to calls and maintain resident confidentiality.

Shift: Various schedule/shifts, Weekend availability needed

Attendance bonus: The perfect attendance bonus in a pay period will be $100.00 for a full-time employee and $75.00 for a part-time employee.

Location: Avamere at Seaside - 2500 Roosevelt Drive, Seaside, OR 97138

Job Summary

The caregiver's duties encompass a wide range of tasks, including assisting with activities of daily living, emotional support, housekeeping, and ensuring the resident's safety and well-being.

Essential Duties and Job Responsibilities

Assisting with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs):

• Personal Hygiene: Helping with bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting.
• Mobility Assistance: Supporting residents with walking, transferring, and using mobility aids.
• Meal Preparation: Assisting with setting up meals, cutting up food if needed, and removing trays from rooms.

Emotional Support and Companionship:

• Providing Emotional Support: Offering empathy, listening to residents, and providing encouragement.
• Companionship: Engaging in conversations, activities, and social interactions to combat loneliness and isolation.

Housekeeping:

• Maintaining a clean and safe environment, including laundry, cleaning, and tidying up.

Health Monitoring and Medical Advocacy:

• Observing residents for changes in health, reporting concerns to medical professionals, and monitoring vital signs.

Other:

• Answer resident calls for assistance timely.
• Maintain a clean, comfortable, and safe work environment for residents, staff, and visitors.
• Maintain confidentiality of resident information.
• Maintain a safe work environment. Report safety concerns in the resident apartments to the supervisor.
• Assists with the orientation of new residents and staff when assigned.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the manager or supervisor.

Requirements

Requirements and Qualifications

• Prefer experience as a Caregiver in a Memory Care Unit and or Assisted Living Facility.
• Must have the ability to obtain and maintain active CPR/First Aid Certification during employment.
• Must have the ability to obtain a Food Handler's Card.
• Experience in electronic medical records documentation.
• Must be 18 years or older.
• Friendly, attentive, and professional demeanor with residents and guests.
• A genuine desire to improve the quality of life for seniors.
