Role Overview

The Caregiver/Med Tech role involves providing hands-on care, physical and emotional support to residents, and maintaining a safe, home-like environment.

Responsibilities

• Manage care for a designated group of residents during your shift, including regular checks.
• Observe, report, and document changes in residents’ conditions.
• Respond promptly to security and call system alerts.
• Notify supervisors of increased care needs.
• Assist with continence management and sanitation.
• Serve and collect food trays, report meal refusals.
• Maintain cleanliness and hygiene standards.
• Support residents in maintaining independence and dignity.
• Assist with daily living activities and engage residents in activities.
• Greet and assist visitors, family, vendors, and team members.
• Perform resident laundry as needed.

Medication Tech Duties

• Review residents’ service plans.
• Assist and observe medication administration, document appropriately.
• Maintain confidentiality of resident information.
• Report concerns and assist with medication management.
• Restock and maintain medication areas.
• Assist with health monitoring (e.g., vital signs).
• Follow safety protocols for occupational exposures.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Certified Nurse’s Aid certification preferred.
• High School diploma/GED required.
• Must be 18 years or older.
• CPR and First Aid certifications preferred.
• Experience working with seniors preferred.
