Responsibilities

• Provide non-medical, in-home care and personal care to clients, including:
• Meal preparation — cooking nutritionally balanced meals based on the client's individual requirements.
• Light housekeeping — cleaning floors, vacuuming carpets, surface cleaning of kitchens, bathrooms, and furniture, linen change.
• Laundry — washing, drying, ironing, folding.
• Companionship care — visiting, talking, reading, walks, activities, etc.
• Errand services — grocery shopping, dry-cleaning, etc.
• Transportation to appointments — doctor, hair salon, etc.
• Personal care — assist with personal hygiene, bathing, incontinence care, toileting.

Qualifications

• Be compassionate, honest, caring, and reliable.
• Have a valid driver’s license with a good driving record and reliable transportation.
• Successfully pass a criminal background check.
• Experience as a nursing assistant in home care or healthcare facility preferred.
• Completion of a Certified Nursing Assistant program is helpful but not required.
• Pass pre-employment and random drug screens, and PPD testing prior to employment.
• Be able to physically assist with client transfers.
