Job summary

JEVS Care at Home is seeking compassionate caregivers to join our home care team serving the Bensalem, Levittown, and Fairless Hills areas. You will help clients with daily activities per their care plan, supporting independence and safety at home.

We provide training on ADLs, PPE, CPR, First Aid, and dementia care, plus ongoing professional development. Qualified individuals who value inclusive, patient-centered care are encouraged to apply.

Qualifications

• Age 18+ and eligible to work in the U.S.
• High School diploma or GED required
• CNA certification preferred but not required
• Ability to follow verbal and written instructions
• Ability to communicate with Client Care Manager
• Complete Caregiver Orientation and pass exams
• U.S. citizen or authorized to work in the U.S.

Responsibilities

• Assist the client in daily life per the care plan to promote independence.
• Receive training and tools, including ADL training and access to PPE.
• CPR, First Aid, and Dementia Training provided as part of professional development.
• Perform instrumental activities of daily living as outlined in the plan of care.

Job description

***We are looking for new caregivers to join our home care team in the Bensalem, Levittown, Fairless Hills areas.***

Caregivers responsibilities (snapshot)

As a Caregiver you will be responsible for assisting the client in aspects of their daily life as is indicated by their care plan. Caregivers have an important role in allowing our clients to maintain their independence. Caregivers are provided training and tools to be successful in their role, including training on the Activities of Daily Living (ADL) and are provided access to Personal Protective Equipment (PPE). CPR, First Aid, and Dementia Training are also provided to all interested caregivers as Professional Development.

1. The Caregiver will demonstrate understanding of and encourage the independent living philosophy.
2. The JEVS Care at Home Caregiver will complete a competency examination after attending a training and orientation that address standard regulations. Annually thereafter, the JCAH Caregiver will complete an annual re-certification course and test.
3. The Caregiver will maintain confidentiality of client information as per HIPAA regulations.
4. The Caregiver will complete instrumental activities of daily living, according to the client's Plan of Care.

Required Education and Experience

• Must be at least 18 years of age or older
• A High School diploma or GED is required
• Certified Nurse Aide Certification preferred but not required
• Ability to follow verbal and written instructions
• Ability to effectively communicate with Client Care Manager
• Completion of Caregiver Orientation
• Must satisfactorily complete JEVS Care at Home written exam and orientation program 80% passing score on post-orientation exam.
• Must be a U.S. Citizen or authorized to work in the U.S.
