Job summary

Nurse Next Door Home Care Services in Redwood City, CA seeks compassionate caregivers for in-home care roles with overnight shifts available. The position offers part-time and full-time options and pays $24–$26 per hour.

You will support clients with daily living activities, meals, and light housekeeping while respecting dignity and independence. This role requires driving to client homes, adherence to care plans, proper documentation, and staying alert to changes in clients' needs.

Qualifications

• Experience assisting clients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs).
• Maintain an active Home Care Aide registration with the CA Dept. of Social Services.
• Ability to travel to client homes and work overnight shifts.

Responsibilities

• Execute the client’s care plan as outlined by the Care Designer.
• Assist clients with personal hygiene and daily living activities.
• Meal planning and preparation; housekeeping and laundry.
• Medications reminders for clients.
• Document services performed and hours worked.
• Drive to appointments and required errands.
• Maintain prompt and accurate records of care provided.

Job Description

Starts – Immediately

Part time / Full time | Overnight shifts available

$24 – $26 per hour

Essential Job Functions/Responsibilities

• Execute the client’s care plan as outlined by the Care Designer.
• Help clients with their ADLs (Activities of Daily Living) that are within the scope of practice for a Registered Health Care Aide.
• Assisting clients with personal hygiene such as skin, mouth, hair care, bathing, and dressing.
• Meal planning and preparation
• Performing household services including housekeeping, laundry,
• Assisting clients with medications reminders which are ordinarily self-administered.
• Reporting changes in the client’s condition and needs to the administrator or care designer.
• Completing records regarding services performed.
• Driving to appointments or to run errands.
• Accurately records all hours worked.
• Remains alert throughout the shift in case client requires assistance, responds immediately to any such needs by providing the assistance required, or calling theCompany for guidance.
• Participating in all required entry-level and annual training requirements.
• Maintaining an active home care aide registration with the State of Ca. Dept. of SocialServices Home Care Services Bureau.
• Other duties as assigned by the administrator or designee.
