Job summary

Oakmont Management Group in Salinas, CA is seeking a Care Provider to deliver daily living assistance to residents in our senior living community. You will support residents with ADLs, maintain safety, and collaborate with the care team to promote independence.

Qualifications include at least 18 years old, High School Diploma or GED, and a willingness to train. Experience is preferred but not required; vaccination and health screenings may be required per policy.

Qualifications

• Experience preferred but not required; training provided.
• Must be at least 18 years old.
• High School Diploma or GED.
• Strong desire to work with the elderly and care for their needs.
• Possess written and verbal communication skills with staff, residents, and families.
• Must pass a Criminal Background check and health screenings including TB.
• Policy may require vaccination and PPE per regulatory guidelines.

Responsibilities

• Assist residents in Activities of Daily Living per care plan.
• Respond promptly while maintaining residents' dignity and safety.
• Report changes in condition to a supervisor immediately.
• Maintain a safe, secure environment following safety standards.
• Encourage teamwork with coworkers and other departments.

Shifts, Time, and Days: Full-time Friday, Saturday, Sunday and Monday 2pm-10pm

Sunday thru Thursday 6am-2pm

Part-time Friday and Saturday 2pm-10pm and Sunday 6am-2pm

Pay Range: $17.50-$19.50 DOE

The Care Provider is responsible for providing personal assistance and daily care and services related to the residents in order to enhance the residents’ independence and quality of life, in accordance with the company’s mission and values.

Responsibilities:

• Assist residents in their Activities of Daily Living (ADL) as specified in the resident’s service and care plan. This includes eating, bathing, dressing, toileting, transferring (walking), and continence.
• Respond to residents' needs promptly while maintaining residents' self-respect, dignity, safety, and confidentiality.
• Communicate any observed or suspected resident change of condition to a supervisor immediately.
• Maintain a safe and secure environment for all staff, residents, and guests, following established safety standards.
• Encourage teamwork through cooperative interactions with co-workers and other departments

Qualifications:

• Experience preferred but not necessary; we will train the right candidate
• Must be at least 18 years of age
• High School Diploma or GED
• Strong desire to work with the elderly and care for their needs
• Possess written and verbal skills to interact and communicate effectively with employees, supervisors, physicians, healthcare professionals, residents, and their families.
• Must pass a Criminal Background check and Health Screening tests, including physical and TB Tests
• For the health and safety of our team members and residents, Oakmont Management Group may require team members to vaccinate, participate in daily screening, surveillance testing, and to wear face coverings and other personal protective equipment (PPE) to prevent the spread of the COVID-19 or other communicable diseases, per regulatory guidelines.
