Job summary

SYNERGY HomeCare of Piscataway in Plainfield, New Jersey is seeking a compassionate Child Caregiver to provide one-on-one support for children with diverse needs in a home-based setting. You will develop individualized care plans and assist with daily activities to promote overall development.

The position offers an hourly rate of $17–$19, with competitive benefits and a supportive team environment focused on meaningful family impact.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required; degree in early childhood education, social work, or a related field preferred.
• Experience working with children with special needs.
• Basic life support certification (CPR/First Aid) and TB test required.
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.

Responsibilities

• Provide one-on-one support to children with developmental disabilities, mental health needs, or complex medical conditions in a home-based setting.
• Develop and implement individualized care plans that meet the unique needs and goals of each child.
• Assist with daily living activities such as bathing, dressing, and feeding.
• Engage in activities that promote physical, emotional, and cognitive development, including play therapy, speech therapy, and occupational therapy.
• Maintain accurate and detailed records of care and progress.
• Communicate effectively with families, caregivers, and other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless transitions and collaboration.
