Job summary

RHA Health Services is seeking compassionate Direct Support Professionals to provide community-based support to individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities, mental health, or substance use challenges in Greensboro and surrounding areas.

Responsibilities include assisting with health and safety procedures, daily living skills, and community integration, while supporting the person-centered plan and collaborating with the care team.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Valid driver’s license.
• High School Diploma/GED or equivalent.

Direct Support Professional: Provides support for individuals and/or groups of persons with disabilities in the community. Assists the person(s) receiving services in identifying and communicating his or her requests and needs for services and supports. RHA is Looking for Direct Support Professionals to Join our Team!!!!

Base pay set by facility. Additional pay bonuses and differentials for specific locations and shifts.

Schedule: Shifts and schedules may vary by location and typically a variety of shifts are available. Shifts cover all days of the week, Monday through Sunday.

Job Requirements

• At least 18 years of age
• Valid drivers' license
• High School Diploma/GED

Physical requirements to perform essential functions of the job included:

• Regularly required to lift 30 lbs.
• Must be able to lift a minimum of 70 lbs.
• Must be able to pull a minimum of 50lbs.
• Must be able to squat, kneel, crawl, crouch, climb, and stoop.
• Must be able to regularly use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls.
• Required to regularly stand and walk.
• Must be able to demonstrate proficiency in CPR from the floor level requiring to work on hands, knees, bending, standing, and lifting.
• Vision requirements include close vision, distance vision, and peripheral vision.

• Drug testing
• Education verification and other credentialing based on position requirements.
• Proof of employment history or references (if required)
• Positions that require driving Proof of driver's license, driver's insurance, and vehicle, IF required for providing transportation for individuals.
