Job summary

Amada Senior Care in Onalaska, TX is seeking caregivers to provide compassionate, non-medical care and companionship to seniors and veterans in their homes. The role offers flexible scheduling and a supportive team that values your contributions and dedication.

You'll assist with personal care, meal prep, light housekeeping, medication reminders, mobility, transportation, and companionship, helping clients stay independent and engaged in daily life.

Qualifications

• Must have 2 years of caregiving experience
• Experience with Hoyer lifts and gait belts is a plus
• Reliable transportation
• A valid driver’s license
• Willingness to travel throughout Onalaska and surrounding communities
• Strong communication skills
• A positive, can-do attitude
• A genuine desire to help others

Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, non-medical care and companionship designed around each client’s individual needs
• Help with personal care such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting
• Prepare meals and assist with light housekeeping
• Provide medication reminders
• Assist with mobility and transfers
• Provide transportation to appointments and errands
• Offer companionship and emotional support
• Encourage clients to stay independent, active, and engaged
