Job summary

Amada Senior Care North Shore is looking for compassionate Caregivers to assist individuals with daily living activities in various suburbs such as Glenview and Evanston. Responsibilities include personal care, meal preparation, companionship, and reporting health changes. Candidates should have at least a year of experience in senior care. Part-time and full-time opportunities are available, with competitive hourly pay ranging from $16.50 to $18.00, along with benefits including health insurance for full-time employees.

Qualifications

• Valid ID and Social Security Card are required.
• 1 year of experience or equivalent is required.
• Driver's License is preferred.
• Ability to commute to North/Western suburbs is required.

Responsibilities

• Assist clients with personal care tasks such as bathing, grooming, and dressing.
• Provide companionship and emotional support.
• Help with meal preparation and medication reminders.
• Perform light housekeeping tasks.
• Escort clients to appointments and run errands.
• Monitor and report changes in client’s health status.
• Implement behavior management techniques when necessary.

Skills

Experience in assisted living or senior care environments

Knowledge of HIPAA regulations

Proficiency in caregiving techniques

Ability to manage challenging behaviors effectively

Familiarity with home care systems

Background in childcare, social work, or related fields

Strong communication and interpersonal skills
