Job summary

Charter Senior Living of Godfrey is seeking a compassionate Caregiver/CNA to support residents in our Assisted Living and Memory Care neighborhoods. You will provide hands-on care, build meaningful relationships with residents and families, and work with a supportive team to ensure comfort and quality of life.

This role emphasizes empathy, patience, and collaboration with nursing staff to maintain a safe, welcoming environment and promote residents’ independence each day.

Qualifications

• CNA or equivalent caregiver credentials preferred.
• Experience in assisted living or memory care is a plus.
• Ability to communicate with residents, families, and team members clearly.

Responsibilities

• Assist residents with daily living activities (ADLs) with dignity.
• Support individualized care plans and resident needs.
• Assist with mobility, transfers, dressing, grooming, and bathing.

A Day in the Life

As a Caregiver, you are one of the main support providers for our residents and play a vital role in helping them maintain dignity, independence, and quality of life.

Caregivers provide hands‑on support to residents within our Assisted Living and/or Memory Care neighborhoods while building meaningful relationships through compassionate care and daily interaction.

This position is perfect for someone who enjoys helping others, working as part of a team, and making a difference every day.

Responsibilities

• Assist residents with activities of daily living (ADLs)

• Support resident care plans and individualized needs

• Assist with mobility, transfers, dressing, grooming, and bathing

• Observe and report changes in resident condition

• Document care and services provided

• Provide emotional support and companionship to residents

• Maintain a safe, clean, and welcoming environment

• Work collaboratively with nursing staff and community leadership

• Help create meaningful experiences for residents each day

Qualifications

• Previous caregiver, CNA, PCA, HHA, or senior living experience preferred

• Assisted living or memory care experience a plus

• Compassionate, dependable, and patient demeanor

• Strong communication and teamwork skills

• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment

• Passion for serving seniors and enhancing quality of life
