Job summary

Right at Home East Bay is hiring part-time caregivers to provide compassionate in-home care for clients across Contra Costa and Alameda counties. Build hands-on experience in personal care, companionship, and medication reminders while your class schedule remains flexible around shifts.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years or older.
• High school diploma or GED required.
• Valid driver’s license and auto insurance.
• Able to lift/move up to 50 lbs unassisted.
• Authorized to work in the United States.
• Pass a state Live Scan background check and TB test.
• Read, write, speak, and understand English.
• Register as a Home Care Aide (HCA) with the California DSS; we guide you at no cost.

Responsibilities

• Provide companionship and social engagement.
• Assist with personal care including grooming and hygiene.
• Support light housekeeping, laundry, and meal prep.
• Administer medication reminders and monitoring.
• Deliver specialty care for clients with dementia or Parkinson's disease.
• Accompany clients on walks, outings, and errands.
• Supervise client safety and fall prevention.
