Job summary

ACASA Home Care is seeking an In Home Caregiver to provide compassionate, personalized care to clients in their own homes. You will assist with activities of daily living, offer companionship, and help clients stay engaged in everyday activities.

The role emphasizes safety, dignity, and quality of life, with responsibilities including mobility support, medication reminders, light housekeeping, meal preparation, and transportation as needed.

Qualifications

• Eligible to work in the United States
• Read, write, and speak English with clear communication skills
• Clear background check (Federal, State/CBI, Local, DMV, CAPS, DORA, OIG)
• Pass a drug panel including active marijuana use
• Willing to comply with state required seasonal flu vaccinations
• Reliable transportation and willingness to provide transportation for client in personal vehicle
• Ability to follow detailed care instructions accurately
• Ability to perform physical tasks including lifting, bending, and assisting clients with mobility needs safely
• Prior caregiving experience preferred
• Experience with dementia clients preferred

• Provide companionship and emotional support to foster social engagement and reduce feelings of isolation
• Medication reminders according to care plans and document all care provided with attention to detail

• Support clients with light housekeeping tasks, meal preparation, and transportation to appointments or errands
• Follow established care protocols while maintaining a safe environment for clients at all times

Requirements

• Must be eligible to work in the United States, must be able to Read, Write, and Speak English, and have clear and strong communication skills
• Must pass a criminal background check (Federal, State/CBI, Local, DMV, CAPS, DORA, OIG)
• Must pass a drug panel including active marijuana use
• Must be willing to comply with state required seasonal flu vaccinations
• Reliable transportation and willingness to provide transportation for client in personal vehicle
• Ability to follow detailed care instructions accurately
• Ability to perform physical tasks including lifting, bending, and assisting clients with mobility needs safely
• Must be able to stoop or bend repeatedly, carry bundles, and assist clients with transfers and general mobility/stability.
• Prior experience working as an In Home Caregiver or in related settings such as geriatrics, post-acute care, or outpatient clinics is highly preferred
• Experience with dementia clients and their unique needs is highly preferred
