Job summary

Glen Park Senior Living in Long Beach, CA is hiring compassionate Caregivers to support residents with daily living activities and provide companionship in a residential setting. This full-time role focuses on dignity, safety, and independence in alignment with California Title 22.

The position includes shift coverage (2:30pm–11pm and 11pm–7:30am) with a comprehensive benefits package and a $500 hiring bonus for full-time staff. Local applicants only.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Must complete RCFE Initial Training and dementia care training.
• CPR and First Aid certification required.

Responsibilities

• Assist residents with activities of daily living (ADLs) including bathing, grooming, dressing, and toileting.
• Provide incontinence care and support mobility with transfers and devices.
• Assist with eating and hydration while promoting dignity and safety.
• Administer medication assistance and document accurately per policies.
• Observe health changes and report to supervisor; maintain confidentiality under HIPAA.

The Caregiver provides non-medical personal care and supervision to residents in a Residential Care Facility for the Elderly (RCFE). The role supports residents with activities of daily living (ADLs) while promoting dignity, safety, and independence in compliance with California Title 22 regulations.

2. Medication Assistance (per Title 22)

Note: Caregivers in RCFEs do not perform skilled nursing tasks unless separately licensed (e.g., LVN/RN).

• High school diploma or equivalent (preferred)
• Must complete RCFE Initial Training (minimum 10 hours before working independently) and dementia care training. Paid Training provided upon hire if not already completed.
• Complete annual continuing education (20 hours per year paid). Provided upon hire.
• CPR and First Aid certification
• Clear criminal background check (DOJ & FBI Live Scan)
• TB clearance
• Compassion, patience, and professionalism
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to follow care plans and state regulations
• Physical stamina and safe lifting techniques
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Lift and transfer residents (25–50+ lbs)
• Stand and walk for extended periods
• Bend, stoop, kneel, and reach frequently
• Licensed Residential Care Facility for the Elderly (RCFE)
• May include evenings, weekends, overnight, and holiday shifts
• Fast-paced environment requiring multitasking and attention to detail

2:30pm - 11pm

11pm - 7:30am
