Job summary

Family Resource Home Care is seeking compassionate aides to support clients in the Hermiston, Arlington, and surrounding areas. You will help with daily living tasks, transportation to appointments, and companionship while working flexible shifts in the community.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years or older.
• Able to lift 10–50 lb occasionally.
• Must pass state and national background checks.
• Own a valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
• Must own a smartphone to use a mobile app.

Responsibilities

• Assist with activities of daily living (household chores, cooking, bathing, dressing, companionship).
• Provide transportation to store or appointments as needed.
• Monitor and report on client condition.
• Participate in training and orientation.

Our Hermiston/Pendleton branch serves clients in, Hermiston, Boardman, Heppner, and surrounding areas.

Current Needs

• Short shifts - 3 to 5 hours
• Stack or split shifts available
• Evening Shifts in all areas
• Drivers Preferred
• Clients in the Hermiston - Heppner - Lexington - Umatilla - Boardman - Arlington Areas
• Overnight shifts available in the Hermiston area (Sunday through Thursday)
• Lead Caregiver Positions Available in the Hermiston area (1 to 2 Years experience required)!

Caregiver Job Duties

Our caregivers support their clients in activities of daily living such as (but not limited to):

• Household chores (cleaning, laundry, dishes, etc.)
• Cooking and/or serving meals
• Helping clients bathe, dress, and groom
• Providing companionship through daily activities and hobbies
• Driving clients (as needed) to the store or appointments
• Monitoring and reporting on their condition

Additional Information

• Washington only – If you do not have a current HCA or CNA license, you will be required to enroll in our HCA training program we offer (due to state requirements). You will be able to complete the training while working and will have 120 days to complete it.
• Oregon only – If you have not previously completed the state-required 8-hour Home Care Pulse caregiver training, you will be required to complete the training along with the nurse-led medication training before you can work with clients. You will be paid to complete both trainings!

Requirements

• 18 years+
• Ability to lift a minimum of 10lbs and up to 50lb rarely.
• Must own a smart phone with capabilities to download and use a mobile app.
• Ability to pass a state and national background check
• Valid driver’s license, auto insurance and clean driving record
• Ability to complete state-required caregiver/HCA training as needed
