Job summary

Lifesteps, Inc. is seeking compassionate Direct Care Aides in Pittsburgh, PA to support adults with disabilities in a residential setting. Responsibilities include assisting with daily living activities such as dressing, meals, bathing, and transportation to appointments.

Full-time hours are available, with daytime shifts (12 pm to 8 pm) and flexible part-time options. No experience is required and paid training is provided to new hires. Experience in home health or as a nurse’s aide is welcome.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years or older.
• Ability to lift up to 200 lbs. with assistance.
• Ability to obtain ACT 33/34 and FBI clearances.

Responsibilities

• Assist adults with activities of daily living in a residential home setting.
• Support with dressing, meals, bathing, and transportation to appointments.
• Engage in community outings and activities.
• Ensure safety and promote independence for individuals with disabilities.

Direct Care Aides

(Caregivers) assist special needs individuals with their activities of daily living and home care. The direct care aide provides assistance to adults with disabilities helping them with daily activities like dressing, meal preparation, bathing, and transport to doctor appointments.

Duties

can include:

• Cooking and serving meals
• Cleaning the house
• Shopping for groceries and supplies
• Personal care assistance like grooming or bathing
• Medication administration
• Community Outings and fun activities

Lifesteps offers steady, full-time hours! Available Shifts are: Daytime 12 pm to 8 pm.

Part-time hours are also available with flexible scheduling to fit your needs. Great for additional income or a second job.

No experience necessary! Paid training provided!

Experienced home health aides, nurse’s aides, support assistants, and direct support professionals welcome!
