Job summary

ComForCare Home Health Care - Dallas Uptown & Garland is seeking caregivers to support independent seniors at home. You’ll perform daily tasks, personal care, mobility support, meal prep, light housekeeping, and companionship, helping clients maintain independence with dignity.

This role emphasizes reliability, empathy, and a calm, patient approach as you work with a mid-60s gentleman who needs respectful, high-quality care. Training is provided and scheduling is flexible.

Qualifications

• A passion to serve and a strong sense of reliability are required.
• High school diploma or GED is required or equivalent.
• Access to reliable transportation is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist older adults with daily activities to keep them safe and independent.
• Provide personal care such as bathing, grooming, and hygiene.
• Assist with transfers, mobility and simple exercises.
• Plan and prepare meals and assist with feeding.
• Perform light housekeeping and organize living areas.
• Offer companionship and social interaction.
• Provide peace of mind to families.

About the client

This is 40 hours per week, 9AM-5PM.

The client is a man in his mid-60s who is wheelchair-bound and lives independently at home. He values his routine and likes to maintain a sense of independence, so we’re looking for a caregiver who is patient, adaptable, and able to go with the flow. A calm, easygoing personality and strong interpersonal skills are important for building trust and providing quality care in a respectful, supportive way.
