Senior Helpers Portland West is a compassionate home care provider serving the Portland metro area. We are seeking caring individuals to join our team as Caregivers who help clients age comfortably at home, with dignity and respect.

As a Senior Helpers Caregiver, you will build meaningful relationships, support daily living activities, and promote independence while following our company values and high standards of care. Training and growth opportunities are provided.

Qualifications

• At least 18 years or older.
• Driver license and a car preferred.
• Passionate about helping others and good with people.
• Enjoy customer service and communicating with clients.
• Desire to help your community and make a difference.

Responsibilities

• Have engaging conversations with clients to build relationships.
• Participate in clients' hobbies and activities.
• Prep meals for clients to enjoy.
• Assist with walking, dressing and other daily activities.

We are hiring Caregivers to work with Clients in central and south Portland, Beaverton, Hillsboro, Lake Oswego, Tigard, Wilsonville, Sherwood, Oregon City, and nearby areas.

What does a day in the life of a caregiver look like?

Providing a helping hand.

• Have fun and engaging conversations with your clients to build relationships
• Participate in your clients’ favorite hobbies (scrapbooking, gardening, games, etc.)
• Prep meals for your clients to enjoy
• Assist your clients with walking, dressing, and other daily activities of living
• Report what activities were completed with your clients and provide updates on your clients’ physical condition, mental capacity, and behavior
