Job summary

Sevita, including Mentor Community Services, is hiring caregivers to support individuals with developmental disabilities in community-based settings. You’ll build meaningful relationships and help participants live well, with ownership and trust from leaders to do what’s right for participants.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Six months of experience in human services, direct care, or care coordination preferred.
• Strong communication, adaptability, and teamwork.
• Valid driver's license and access to a registered vehicle with proof of insurance.

Responsibilities

• Care for individuals with developmental disabilities in daily activities.
• Develop real, meaningful relationships with participants.
• Assist with personal hygiene and support those with behavioral challenges.
• Encourage participation in community activities and interests.
• Help participants work toward goals like budgeting, exercise, and nutrition.
• Communicate effectively with participants, families, and the care team.
