Job summary

Ivy Living’s Ivy Thornton community seeks a Care Provider to assist residents with daily living activities and provide compassionate care that preserves independence and dignity. You will work with a supportive team to ensure safety and comfort in a vibrant senior living setting.

The role emphasizes prompt responses, respectful communication with residents and families, and adherence to safety protocols in daily operations. Training provided and growth opportunities available.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• High School Diploma or GED.
• Strong desire to work with the elderly.
• Possess written and verbal communication with residents, families, and staff.
• Must pass an background check and health screening, including TB tests.

Responsibilities

• Assist residents in Activities of Daily Living (ADL) per plan.
• Respond promptly while preserving residents' dignity and safety.
• Report any change in condition to a supervisor immediately.
• Maintain a safe and secure environment per safety standards.
• Encourage teamwork with co-workers and other departments.

The Care Provider is responsible for providing personal assistance and daily care and services related to the residents in order to enhance the residents’ independence and quality of life, in accordance with the company’s mission and values.

Responsibilities:

• Assist residents in their Activities of Daily Living (ADL) as specified in the resident’s service and care plan. This includes eating, bathing, dressing, toileting, transferring (walking), and continence.
• Respond to residents' needs promptly while maintaining residents' self-respect, dignity, safety, and confidentiality.
• Communicate any observed or suspected resident change of condition to a supervisor immediately.
• Maintain a safe and secure environment for all staff, residents, and guests, following established safety standards.
• Encourage teamwork through cooperative interactions with co-workers and other departments

Qualifications:

• Experience preferred but not necessary; we will train the right candidate
• Must be at least 18 years of age
• High School Diploma or GED
• Strong desire to work with the elderly and care for their needs
• Possess written and verbal skills to interact and communicate effectively with employees, supervisors, physicians, healthcare professionals, residents, and their families.
• Must pass a Criminal Background check and Health Screening tests, including physical and TB Tests
• For the health and safety of our team members and residents, Oakmont Management Group may require team members to vaccinate, participate in daily screening, surveillance testing, and to wear face coverings and other personal protective equipment (PPE) to prevent the spread of the COVID-19 or other communicable diseases, per regulatory guidelines.
