Job summary

Assisting Hands of Sugarland is seeking compassionate, dependable caregivers to provide high-quality in-home non-medical care. The ideal candidate is patient, trustworthy, and dedicated to helping seniors maintain independence and quality of life.

Responsibilities include companionship, ADLs, meal prep, medication reminders, light housekeeping, mobility support, and transportation to appointments as needed. Training is provided and a supportive team environment is offered.

Qualifications

• Previous caregiving or home-care experience preferred.
• Must be compassionate, reliable and patient.
• Committed to maintaining client independence and dignity.

Responsibilities

• Provide companionship and emotional support.
• Assist with activities of daily living (ADLs) including bathing, grooming, dressing, and toileting.
• Assist with meal preparation and feeding as needed.
• Provide medication reminders and monitor safety.
• Perform light housekeeping and laundry.
• Support mobility, transfers and safe ambulation.
• Accompany clients to appointments and errands.
• Monitor and report changes in client condition or behavior.
• Maintain a safe, clean, and comfortable home environment.
• Deliver respectful, compassionate care while preserving privacy.
