Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Assist clients with daily living activities (bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting).
• Prepare and serve meals per dietary needs.
• Assist mobility and safe transfers in homes or between locations.
• Perform light household tasks and laundry.
• Provide companionship and engage clients in activities.
• Monitor health changes and report to family or supervisor promptly.
• Maintain accurate care records and daily activity documentation.

Job Responsibilities

• Personal care: Assist clients with daily living activities such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting.
• Meal preparation: Prepare and serve nutritious meals based on dietary restrictions or preferences.
• Mobility assistance: Help clients move safely within their homes or between locations, including transferring from beds, wheelchairs, or vehicles.
• Household tasks: Perform light housekeeping duties, such as laundry, cleaning, and organizing.
• Companionship: Provide emotional support and engage clients in meaningful activities, such as conversation, hobbies, or light exercise.
• Monitoring: Observe and report changes in clients’ physical or mental health to family members or supervisors promptly.
• Documentation: Maintain accurate records of care provided and daily activities

Required Skills and Experience

• Maintain punctuality by arriving on time for all scheduled shifts and provide accurate documentation of daily care activities in client records.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills to connect with clients and their families.
• Physical stamina to assist clients with mobility and other physical tasks.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and adhere to HIPAA regulations.
• Demonstrate reliability by consistently arriving on time and completing assigned tasks with precision.
• Exhibit adaptability and problem-solving skills to address clients’ evolving needs.
• Uphold the values of the agency by providing care with empathy, professionalism, and integrity.
• Ability to use a mobile device for clocking in/out and service documentations.

Qualifications

Must be 18 years of age or older

• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation (for roles requiring travel).
• Able to pass a Criminal background check
• Fingerprinted with MSDH
• CPR certified
• Minimum of 1 year of experience as a home healthcare caregiver or in a similar role – Preferred
• Internet accessible mobile phone for documenting service delivery and tasks provided
