Job summary

Oakmont of Redding, part of Oakmont Management Group, seeks a Care Provider to assist residents with daily living tasks, ensuring dignity and safety. The role offers Monday-Thursday and Saturday 2:00–10:00 pm shifts in a premier senior living community.

Qualifications

• Experience preferred but not required; on-the-job training provided.
• Must be at least 18 years old and have a HS diploma or GED.
• Ability to interact respectfully with residents, families and staff.
• Must pass background check and health screenings (TB, etc.).
• Compliance with vaccination and PPE guidelines per regulatory rules.

Responsibilities

• Assist residents with Activities of Daily Living as per care plan.
• Respond promptly to resident needs while maintaining dignity.
• Notify supervisor of changes in resident condition.
• Maintain a safe, clean environment following safety standards.
• Support teamwork across departments.

The Care Provider is responsible for providing personal assistance and daily care and services related to the residents in order to enhance the residents’ independence and quality of life, in accordance with the company’s mission and values.

Responsibilities:

• Assist residents in their Activities of Daily Living (ADL) as specified in the resident’s service and care plan. This includes eating, bathing, dressing, toileting, transferring (walking), and continence.
• Respond to residents' needs promptly while maintaining residents' self-respect, dignity, safety, and confidentiality.
• Communicate any observed or suspected resident change of condition to a supervisor immediately.
• Maintain a safe and secure environment for all staff, residents, and guests, following established safety standards.
• Encourage teamwork through cooperative interactions with co-workers and other departments

Qualifications:

• Experience preferred but not necessary; we will train the right candidate
• Must be at least 18 years of age
• High School Diploma or GED
• Strong desire to work with the elderly and care for their needs
• Possess written and verbal skills to interact and communicate effectively with employees, supervisors, physicians, healthcare professionals, residents, and their families.
• Must pass a Criminal Background check and Health Screening tests, including physical and TB Tests
• For the health and safety of our team members and residents, Oakmont Management Group may require team members to vaccinate, participate in daily screening, surveillance testing, and to wear face coverings and other personal protective equipment (PPE) to prevent the spread of the COVID-19 or other communicable diseases, per regulatory guidelines.
