Job summary

Charter Senior Living in Poquoson, Virginia is seeking a Caregiver / Resident Care Associate to support residents in our Assisted Living and Memory Care neighborhoods. You will provide hands-on assistance with daily living activities and build meaningful relationships with residents and families.

You will collaborate with nursing staff to maintain dignity, independence, and quality of life, delivering care with kindness, patience, and heart.

Qualifications

• Experience in caregiving, CNA, PCA, HHA, or senior living preferred.
• Assisted living or memory care experience a plus.
• Compassionate, dependable, and patient demeanor.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist residents with activities of daily living (ADLs).
• Support resident care plans and individualized needs.
• Assist with mobility, transfers, dressing, grooming, and bathing.
• Observe and report changes in resident condition.
• Document care and services provided.
• Provide emotional support and companionship to residents.
• Maintain a safe, clean, and welcoming environment.
• Work collaboratively with nursing staff and community leadership.
• Help create meaningful experiences for residents each day.

As a Caregiver, you are one of the main support providers for our residents and play a vital role in helping them maintain dignity, independence, and quality of life.
