Job summary

Comforcar in Michigan is seeking dependable, compassionate caregivers to support clients at home with respect and dignity. You’ll assist with daily activities, personal care, mobility, meal planning, housekeeping, and provide companionship and respite for the family.

Requirements include a high school diploma or GED, reliable transportation, and the ability to pass a background and drug screening. Prior in-home caregiver or senior living experience is a plus.

Must be punctual and dedicated to your client.

Must be able to:

• Transferring female client from chair to bed and commode.
• Personal care (shower, change briefs, change clothes)
• Homemaking (laundry, dishes etc)
• Cooking
• Exercises with client (very easy ones!)
• Companion care (chatting, taking for walk)

Must be able to pass a previous employer screening (attendance and work ethic history), background check and drug screening.

“I enjoy my job because I can interact with my client. My client has memory issues but can communicate. There are times the talking makes sense. The family relies on me for interactions with other professionals who assess my client. They feel that I am an important part to my client’s daily activities and can give pertinent information to any ongoing care that may be needed.”

What you’ll be doing:

• Assist with daily activities to help clients stay independent and in their own homes.
• Provide assistance with personal care.
• Assist with mobility, transfers and range of motion exercises.
• Handle meal planning, preparation and feeding.
• Properly manage household needs.
• Provide companionship and respite services for the family.

What we’re looking for:

• A passion to serve and help others live their best lives possible.
• High school diploma or G.E.D. certificate.
• Access to reliable transportation.
• Previous experience as an at home caregiver or in senior communities is a bonus.

Pay: Up to $17.00 per hour
