Job summary

Sevita, Mentor Community Services, in Indiana, is seeking a PRN/Relief caregiver to support individuals with developmental needs in their home environments. You’ll assist with daily living activities, personal hygiene, and offer companionship while promoting independence and community participation.

The role emphasizes compassionate, patient care; six months in human services preferred, HS diploma required, valid driver’s license, and reliable transportation.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Six months of experience in human services, direct care, or care coordination preferred.
• Strong communication, adaptability, multitasking, teamwork, and time management.
• Patient, compassionate, reliable and responsible.
• Valid driver’s license and access to a vehicle with proof of insurance.

Responsibilities

• Assist participants with personal hygiene and support those with behavioral challenges.
• Develop real, meaningful relationships and help participants participate in community activities.
• Support participants with developmental goals like budgeting, exercise, and nutrition.
