Visiting Angels Anniston, AL is seeking caring individuals to join our local team in providing in-home caregiver services to seniors in Pell City and surrounding communities. You will support daily living activities, mobility, meals, and companionship, while promoting safety and independence.

We offer training opportunities in dementia or Alzheimer’s care and situations that foster personal growth. This role emphasizes compassionate service and strong ethics in a community-focused setting.

Qualifications

• Passion to serve others and provide compassionate in-home care.
• Strong knowledge of emergency response and basic first aid.
• Ability to assist with mobility, personal care, meals, and housekeeping while following safety guidelines.

Responsibilities

• Help clients take prescribed medications as directed.
• Assist with ambulation and mobility around the home and outings.
• Provide personal care and hygiene support as needed.
• Support routine exercises and mobility activities.
• Plan and prepare meals with client input and dietary considerations.
• Run errands or accompany clients to appointments when possible.
• Perform light housekeeping and maintain a safe living environment.
• Be a friendly, encouraging companion and report incidents promptly.

Caregiver Responsibilities

• Help clients take prescribed medication
• Assist clients with ambulation and mobility around the house or outside (doctor’s appointments, walks, etc.)
• Assist clients with personal care and hygiene
• Help clients with routine exercises
• Plan and prepare meals with assistance from the clients (when they are able)
• Do the client’s shopping or accompany them when they shop
• Perform light housekeeping duties that clients can’t complete on their own
• Be a pleasant and supportive companion
• Report any unusual incidents
• Act quickly and responsibly in cases of emergency
