Job summary

Oakmont of Riverpark, part of Oakmont Management Group, is seeking a Care Provider for 4pm-9pm shifts in Oxnard, CA. The role focuses on personal assistance and daily care to enhance residents’ independence and quality of life, aligning with our mission and values.

Responsibilities include supporting ADLs, responding promptly to needs, and coordinating with the team to maintain safety and dignity. Training will be provided for the right candidate, with a strong emphasis on empathy and service.

Qualifications

• Experience preferred but not necessary; we will train the right candidate.
• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Excellent customer service skills.
• Strong desire to work with the elderly and care for their needs.
• Possess written and verbal skills to interact with employees, supervisors, physicians, residents, and families.
• Must pass a Criminal Background check and Health Screening tests (including TB).
• Vaccination/testing and PPE may be required per regulatory guidelines.

Responsibilities

• Assist residents in Activities of Daily Living (ADL) per care plan (eating, bathing, dressing, toileting, transferring, continence).
• Respond to residents' needs promptly while maintaining dignity, safety, and confidentiality.
• Communicate changes in resident condition to a supervisor.
• Maintain a safe and secure environment following safety standards.
• Encourage teamwork with co-workers and other departments.

The Care Provider is responsible for providing personal assistance and daily care and services related to the residents in order to enhance the residents' independence and quality of life, in accordance with the company's mission and values.

Responsibilities

• Assist residents in their Activities of Daily Living (ADL) as specified in the resident's service and care plan. This includes eating, bathing, dressing, toileting, transferring (walking), and continence.


• Respond to residents' needs promptly while maintaining residents' self-respect, dignity, safety, and confidentiality.


• Communicate any observed or suspected resident change of condition to a supervisor immediately.


• Maintain a safe and secure environment for all staff, residents, and guests, following established safety standards.


• Encourage teamwork through cooperative interactions with co-workers and other departments.

Qualifications

• Must pass a Criminal Background check and Health Screening tests, including physical and TB Tests
