Job summary

Dial Omaha is seeking a caring Caregiver to support residents with daily living activities and safety. This role is ideal for those starting a caregiving career and does not require a nursing certificate.

You will help with bathing, dressing, eating, mobility, and meal service while providing companionship and ensuring a pleasant, respectful living environment. Responsibilities include following resident service plans, observing health changes, responding to calls, assisting with transfers, and

Responsibilities

  • Provide services to residents according to their service plan.
  • Assist residents with activities of daily living (bathing, dressing, eating, hygiene, mobility).
  • Observe and report changes in health, safety, and well-being.
  • Respond to call signals and emergencies; assist or contact emergency support.
  • Support resident mobility with transfers, positioning, walking, and mobility aids.
  • Assist with serving meals and bussing tables during mealtimes.
  • Offer companionship and encourage socialization among residents.
  • Launder clothing, linens, and towels; fold and return to residents.
  • Complete minor housekeeping of residents' apartments.
  • Maintain confidentiality of resident information.
  • Report on-the-job injuries to the supervisor before end of shift.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Position Overview

This position does not require a nursing certificate and is ideal for individuals beginning a caregiving career. The position provides personal care services, assistance, and support while ensuring resident wellbeing and safety, through RN delegation.

  • Responsible for providing services to each resident according to the resident service plan.
  • Assist residents with activities of daily living, including bathing, dressing, eating, hygiene, and mobility.
  • Observe and report changes in health, safety, and well-being of the residents.
  • Respond promptly to call signals and resident emergencies, assisting with their immediate need or contacting emergency support.
  • Support resident mobility by assisting with transfers, positioning, walking, and using mobility aids as needed.
  • Assist with serving meals and bussing tables during mealtimes.
  • Offer companionship and conversation while encouraging socialization among residents.
  • Launder residents’ clothing, linen and towels; fold and return to residents.
  • Complete minor housekeeping of residents’ apartments, providing a pleasant home environment.
  • Maintain confidentiality of verbal and written information pertaining to residents, facility operations and personnel.
  • Report on-the-job injuries to the supervisor before the end of the work shift on the day the injury occurs.
  • Other duties as assigned.
Education, Experience and Other Requirements
  • Must be at least 16 years old
  • Knowledge of Basic First Aid
