Job summary

Oakmont Gardens in Santa Rosa, CA is seeking a caring Caregiver who brings warmth, patience, and a commitment to resident well-being. You will provide high-quality personal care, assist with meals, and help residents stay engaged, while accurately documenting tasks for the nursing team. We welcome PM and NOC shifts; full-time or part-time options.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• One year of CNA/PCA/HHA/RA experience preferred.
• Compassionate, service-oriented mindset and commitment to resident care.

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality personal care to residents, including bathing, dressing, grooming, shaving, incontinence care, foot care, and routine health checks (vital signs).
• Assist with meals, including food preparation (cutting) and encouragement to eat.
• Complete assigned care tasks and document them accurately. Report any incomplete tasks to the nursing supervisor.
• Communicate effectively with residents, families, department heads, and the Director of Resident Services.
• Engage residents in planned activities and provide support as needed.
• Respond promptly to call lights and emergencies to ensure resident safety.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide high-quality personal care to residents, including bathing, dressing, grooming, shaving, incontinence care, foot care, and routine health checks (vital signs, height/weight).
• Assist with meals, including food preparation (cutting) and encouragement to eat.
• Complete assigned care tasks and document them accurately. Report any incomplete tasks to the nursing supervisor.
• Communicate effectively with residents, families, department heads, and the Director of Resident Services.
• Engage residents in planned activities and provide support as needed.
• Respond promptly to call lights and emergencies to ensure resident safety.

Qualifications:
