Job summary

Companions & Homemakers is hiring in Connecticut for non-medical home care roles. The position offers flexible shifts including weekdays, weekends, overnights, and live-in options, with a competitive hourly rate and referral bonuses.

A valid driver's license and reliable vehicle are often required, along with the ability to pass a background check. Applicants should have a High School Diploma or GED and may have prior caregiver experience as a plus.

Qualifications

• Ability to pass a criminal background check is required.
• Open availability is preferred.
• Experience as a Caregiver, HHA, CNA, PCA, or Companion is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Provide non-medical home care per each client's Plan of Care.
• Transport clients to appointments and activities.
• Help with light housekeeping, meal prep, errands, and grocery shopping.
• Assist with dressing, bathing, mobility, and incontinence care.
• Be a steady, caring presence — provide companionship and emotional support.
• Document care and provide reminders as directed.

Your Day-to-Day

• Provide non-medical home care following each client's individualized Plan of Care
• Transport clients to appointments and activities
