Job summary

Right at Home is seeking compassionate caregivers to help seniors and adults with disabilities in their homes across California. You’ll provide personal care, companionship, and practical support in a flexible schedule that fits your life.

You’ll be trained by the company, with opportunities for advancement, training, and a supportive team. A valid driver’s license, English communication, and background checks are required, and CPR is recommended.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years of age.
• Must be able to read, write, speak and understand English as needed for the job.
• Must possess a valid driver’s license and current automobile insurance.
• High school diploma or GED required.
• Meets requirements for employees providing direct patient care.
• Must pass a full employment background check.
• Must have completed a Competency Evaluation per state licensing law for home health agencies.
• CPR certificate recommended.
• 6 months experience as a Home Health Aide and completion of a State-approved Nurse Aide or Home Health Aide course.
• Must have a valid PER ID Number.

Responsibilities

• Assist with eating, personal hygiene, dressing, shaving, light housekeeping and laundry.
• Prepare meals and work around a kitchen.
• Provide medication reminders and assist with prescribed ROM exercises.
• Offer dementia care and companionship activities (reading, music, puzzles).
• Maintain clear communication with clients and families; document care.

You don’t mind getting a little dirty…this could include (but not limited to) assistance with eating, personal hygiene, assistance with dressing, shaving, light housekeeping, laundry, and other household chores.

You don’t have to be a gourmet chef but you can prepare a good meal and work your way around a kitchen.

You are able to assist the client in many ways, this could include (but are not limited to), medication reminders, assisting with prescribed range of motion exercises, dementia care, companionship activities such as reading, music, puzzles, etc.

Must Haves
