Visiting Angels Lufkin, TX is seeking a dedicated Caregiver to support seniors in Deep East Texas. You will provide companionship, assist with daily living activities, and help with medications and mobility in clients’ homes.

The role offers flexible shifts (full-time or part-time) and opportunities for training in dementia or Alzheimer’s care to grow your skills while making a real difference in the community.

Qualifikationen

• Experience with bathing assistance and incontinence care.
• Knowledge of emergency response and first aid.
• Experience with transferring seniors using a hoyer lift or gait belt.
• Respectful and compassionate approach.
• Ability to adhere to health and safety standards.

Aufgaben

• Help clients take prescribed medication
• Assist clients with ambulation and mobility around the house or outside (Transferring assistance using hoyer lifts or gait belts or walkers and wheelchairs.)
• Assist clients with personal care and hygiene (Bathing assistance and incontinence care)
• Help clients with routine exercises
• Plan and prepare meals with assistance from the clients (when they are able)
• Do the client’s shopping or accompany them when they shop (grocery shopping, salon, dr appointments)
• Perform light housekeeping duties that clients can’t complete on their own
• Be a pleasant and supportive companion
• Report any unusual incidents
• Act quickly and responsibly in cases of emergency

Caregiver Responsibilities

• Help clients take prescribed medication

Caregiver Requirements

• Passion to serve others - a true caregiver
• Excellent knowledge of emergency response and first aid
• Knowledge of housekeeping activities and cooking with attention to dietary constraints
• Willingness to adhere to health and safety standards
• Respectful and compassionate
• Experience with Bathing assistance and incontinence care
• Experience with Transferring seniors using a hoyer lift or gait belt
• Strong ethics
• Knowledge of Alzheimer's and Dementia
• 2 years professional experience with the elderly in a Facility or with an agency or have a CNA certification
